Batumi Reviews

Independent guides to Batumi, on Georgia's Black Sea coast.

Batumi is the capital of Adjara and Georgia's main seaside city: a working port of roughly 180,000 people that fills with visitors between June and September. It is compact enough to cross on foot, mixes 19th-century Belle Époque streets with a skyline of new towers, and sits an hour from the Turkish border and the mountain villages of the Adjaran interior.

This site is being built as an independent review project. Every guide will be written from first-hand visits, will name what it did and did not test, and will say plainly when something is not worth your time. No paid placements, no affiliate-ranked lists.

How these reviews work

Each guide states when it was researched, what was visited in person, and what was checked from a distance. Recommendations get a reason attached, not a ranking number. Anything that changes seasonally is dated so you can judge whether it still holds.
